‘Easy to do Business’ is a free service offering specialised advice from a business concierge, who can help with the complexities of starting or growing a business.

It streamlines the business application process via an online Service NSW portal, giving step-by-step guidance and support across local, state and federal government requirements. Previously cafés, small bars and restaurants had to navigate complex regulations, multiple forms, agencies and phone numbers, which could take up to 18 months for a new business to open its doors.

Eurobodalla Mayor Liz Innes said Council was keen to make it easier for start-up business owners.

“Council is delighted to partner with Services NSW and the NSW Small Business Commissioner to deliver the Easy to do Business program,” she said.

“I encourage new businesses to use this free service.

“Reducing red tape and simplifying the development application process is a very positive move to help encourage new businesses in the shire.

“Tourism is one of our most important industries, so it is great to see that the program will support new cafes, restaurants and bars.”
