Police say the young man was attending a “schoolies” party, and planned to sleep in his car.
The car was later found burnt out at Wallaga Lake.

He told police a group of unknown people woke him, before he was assaulted and his car was stolen.

Cobargo crash
At about 6pm on Tuesday, September 4, a two-vehicle crash occurred on the Princes Highway, Cobargo, about one kilometre south of Wandella Road.
A female driver from Bermagui was driving north on the highway, followed by a woman from Cobargo.
The Bermagui woman slowed down and stopped in the roadway.
The Cobargo woman tried to brake, but couldn’t slow in time and hit the back of the vehicle.
There were no serious injuries, and an ambulance was not required, but one of the women did complain of a sore neck.
Unplanned donation
An unknown person recently donated clothing to a charity organisation with which an amount of money was found. If you believe the money belongs to you, contact Narooma or Bermagui police.
Missing key
At some time between 5pm on Friday, August 31, and 8.15am on Saturday, September 8, an unknown person stole a wall-mounted lock box from the Narooma Library, containing a key to a vehicle.

Stolen numberplate
Between 6.30pm on Thursday, September 13, and 6am on Saturday, September 15, a set of number plates was stolen from a vehicle parked at the Quaama School of Arts.
