Subsequent checks on the driver’s license showed it to be suspended. The driver was also found have an outstanding warrant for other traffic matters.
The driver was charged with not displaying P-plates, driving in excess of the posted speed limit, and the outstanding warrant, and was bailed to Bega Local Court.
The victim followed that vehicle, at which time the driver of the offending vehicle refused to supply details.

Alleged sideswipe and run
At 10.30pm on Friday, September 21, a motor vehicle was sideswiped on the Princes Highway in Narooma. The vehicle that allegedly caused the accident failed to stop, and continued to an address in North Narooma.
The victim followed the vehicle, where the alleged driver of the offending vehicle refused to supply details.
Police were called, and a formal demand was placed on the owner of the vehicle. They were issued infringements for failing to stop after an accident, failing to exchange details, and negligent driving.
Assault, driving charges
On Friday, September 21, police were called to a Bermagui address in relation to a domestic incident.
As a result of inquiries, a male was stopped in a motor vehicle at Cobargo, and subjected to a breath-test with a positive result.
The man was subsequently charged with common assault, mid-range drink driving, and disqualified driving.
He was bailed to Bega Local Court, and was slated to appear on Tuesday, September 25.
Shoplifting charge
On Wednesday, September 19, a 42-year-old male was arrested outside Narooma Woolworths. The man allegedly selected a number of items inside the supermarket, before leaving the store without paying for them.
He was charged with shoplifting, and bailed to Narooma Local Court.
