It’s been forty years since the Dalmeny Deviates formed way back in the dim dark ages of 1978, and there have been raft races, cricket matches, charity golf and bowls days, some pretty ordinary touch football, and an enormous amount of fun had in this time.
The Deviates and friends will be out in force for their 40 Year Celebration Ball, which will also be “the last hurrah” for the Deviates as they are going into permanent hibernation - if they survive the night!
It will be held at the Narooma Golf Club on Friday, October 19. Deviates young and old will be coming from near and far to mark the occasion and everyone is invited to come along and join the fun.
We would love to see lots of former opposition players from recent times and the distant past. Our old pals from Chris Young’s touch and cricket teams, Whitie’s Wiring Wizards, the Lynch Mob, those hillbillies from Tilba and even Skinny and his Surfrider mates are all welcome to relive past glories and even disasters such as the raft race days!
To all Deviates - don’t be slow in getting your tickets as numbers will need to finalised soon.
Also available will be the Dalmeny Deviate book. An approximate history (memories are foggy about some details) of what happened over those forty years! It’s sure to be a best seller so make sure you get one.
Tickets are only available from the Narooma Golf Club office in person or by phone(4476 2522). Remember it’s a formal “do” so drag out that suit and buy the missus a new dress!
