A field of 131 players teed off in surprisingly good conditions where the DSR emerged as a consistent 71.
In A Grade Justin Bennett produced a fine round of 41 points off his handicap of 9 to win by two points from three players on 39 points.
Brett Thompson and Chris Brown enjoyed the spoils with Greg Riley missing out on countback. Dom Star from Commercial Albury was a clear winner in B Grade with 44 points off his handicap of 22. Five points further back on 39 points John Willett headed Steve Dobson on countback to take second place.
In C Grade Harold Mackie also scored 44 points off his handicap of 29 to edge out Anthony Miles from Howlong on countback to claim the victory. Preston Cope took third place on countback with 43 points from Frank Caruana who must still be shaking his head in disbelief.
The nearest-the-pin winners were Andrew Thompson on 3, Bill Anderson on 9, Mark Falconer on 14 and Justin Bennett on 17 while the ball competition went down to 34 points with 18 on the way home.
SATURDAY, OCTOBER 13
A field of 115 players teed off in the final stroke event of the year, the John Limon Gold Medal play-off where the DSR emerged as 71/72.
In A Grade Peter Fitzgerald from Links Shell Cove prevailed on countback from Mark Rogerson with 71 net off his handicap of 9. Third place was filled by Alan Maddison on 72 net on countback from Graeme Sawyer and Andrew Moane, also from Links Shell Cove.
In B Grade Anthony Miles from Howlong continued his good week with 70 net off his handicap of 19 to win on countback from Bill Baker. Mark Falconer used the countback to his advantage on 71 net to take third position from Chris Eardley.
C Grade saw the countback favour Maureen Hayward with 71 net off her handicap of 25 to edge out Tony Reid with Ken Collis from St George's Basin two shots further back in third place.
The nearest-the-pin winners were Bill Baker on 3, Graeme Sawyer on 9, Roger Cheel on 14 and Brett Thompson on 17, while the ball competition went down to all on 76 net.
The winner of the John Limon Gold Medal for this year is Mark Falconer with his net 71, one better than Vince Harper.
SUNDAY, OCTOBER 14
A pleasing field turned up for the Mixed Foursomes Championships where the gross was taken out by Scott Ker and Sylvia Donohoe with 82 off the stick. Clive and Diana Williamson won the net with 71 ahead of Michael and Jenny Wuttke-Hayes on 73 net.
The nearest-the-pin winners were Clive Williamson on 3 and Chris Fader on 14 while the ball competition went down to all on 76 net.
Bermagui Women
SATURDAY, OCTOBER 6
A few ladies played on Saturday and the winner with 37 points was Maggie Hayes. Runner up was Trady Howarth 36 pts.
The Bermagui Country Club hosted a two-day Pro-Am on Monday and Tuesday which was very successful.
On Monday the best ladies were Sharon Wilder 35 pts and Annette Irvine 32 pts. Tuesday’s winners were Irene Putaansuu 36 pts and Barb Stolk 36 pts.
Three Bermagui ladies are going to Coolamatong on Friday for the NSW district medal play off. We have Gold Medal Winner Pat Jones, Silver Medal Winner Elsbeth Cripps and Bronze Medal Winner Anne Browne. We wish them all the best of luck for the day.
Bermagui Hotel Social Golfers
A cool morning greeted us as we played a stoke event over 9 holes. The winner was Roy Struthers, runner up was Carson Bennett, third was John Mikola, and 4th was Charlie Bennett.
NTP on the 6th was Graeme Gunn and on the 8th was Glen Van Dyke after hitting a tree. Hacker of the day was Glen Van Dyke with the player draw going to Carson Bennett.
The badge draw was won by Angus Lingard who only renewed his membership that morning. We met back at the local pub and had lunch provided by the publican.
We held our presentations and raffles and the meat tray was won by Graeme Sthruthers and the Veggie tray was won by Glen Van Dyke. The Pizza voucher and the bottles of wine were won by patrons from the Bistro.

Tuross Head Women
On Tuesday last week, only a small field of 15 ladies set out to play in the F.S.C and T.G.A Gold medal stroke event.
Division one winner was Teri Swanbury with a lovely 67 net.
Runner up was Leonie Snodgrass with a 71 net.
Division two winner was Judy Apps with a 79 net.
Runner up was Annette Manton with an 80 net.
In division three it was Jennifer Gray with a 76 net after a countback from Wendy Schmid, who also had a 76 net.
The winner from each division will now go to Tathra next February to compete for the gold medal.
Balls were given to Kay McLeod and Chris Wratten.
The Golden Hole in division one was won by Pauline Nash and in division two it was Elsa Shearer.
Nearest the pin on the 6th went to Leonie Snodgrass, who also had the best off the stick score of 87 gross.
