The award-winning boogie-pianist and singer plays throughout the country and across the world, touring her own shows with original compositions.
After studying classical piano and working in theatre and rock bands in her native NZ, Preston had a number-one hit with Doctor I Like Your Medicine. Shortly after she moved to Australia, playing in piano bars and writing music for film.
Her original piano composition was the theme-song for “Australian Story” for six years, and she has also appeared on ‘Spicks and Specks’.
Preston said it was some years before she found her own voice, as a boogie piano player and songwriter.
Jan is currently touring and can be seen at the following venues:
Merimbula – Sapphire Room, Down South Jazz Club, October 25.
Tathra – Tathra Hotel, October 26-27.
Moruya – Moruya Golf Club, October 29.
