About 50 boats from around NSW and Victoria are expected to visit Narooma to partake in the weekends boating festivities.
BoatsAfloat Inc. has a full weekend of activities planned for visiting and local boaties starting on Friday night with a welcome barbecue for participants at Southern Slipways.

The general public are invited to pop along to the Narooma Marina on Saturday afternoon where the boats will be on display to the public accompanied by music from the Jazz Band – Jazz Alley.
If you miss seeing the boats on Saturday afternoon you can catch them in the grand parade on Sunday morning with one of the best vantage points from the Mill Bay board walk.
All 50 boats will make their way from the marina, down the inlet and under the bridge where they will travel past the boardwalk before turning around and aiming to return to the middle of Wagonga Inlet by 11am.
The participating boats will then form a circle in open water before observing a minutes silence at 11.11am and laying flowers and wreaths on the water in commemoration of Remembrance Day.

“This year we a have a first time award for the best boat at BoatsAfloat.
“The trophy is in recognition of Malcolm McKay and his outstanding contribution to Narooma and the boating community.”
Other activities for participants in Boat’sAfloat weekend include a Saturday morning tea run to Paradise Point in Freshwater Bay.
On Saturday night there is the gala dinner and nautical auction that includes a floating hand made boat hook and half models.
On Sunday there is a farewell luncheon at the Marina at noon.
