In all there were 14 clubs represented with Narooma combining with Bathurst Pan Dragons to compete in the womens, mens and mixed open divisions.
Racing was fast and furious all day with paddlers competing in up to seven races each.
The mens team paddled well and gained a place in the final.
The final was a very close event with the Narooma team taking out third place.
The regatta not only provided good competition but also lots of fun and friendship
As well as all the paddling, one of the club’s sweeps, Heather McMillan, took the opportunity to sweep in race conditions and take a step closer to her Level 3 Sweep accreditation.
Heather successfully swept two races and is now only one more regatta away from her full Level 3 accreditation.
Many thanks go to Bathurst Pan Dragons and the rest of the western region clubs for such a terrific regatta that not only provided good competition but also lots of fun and friendship.
The team hopes to take part next year.
