‘We’re hoping that many locals who grew up in that era will come along and share their experiences,” South Coast History Society’s president Peter Lacey said.
“Leading the discussion will be Dr Merv Bendle. Dr Bendle is running a course at U3A Batemans Bay on the history of the 1950s and 1960s, so he won’t be talking about that, but will be sharing some of the things he remembers about being a teenager in the 1950s and 1960s,” Mr Lacey said.
“Times were dramatically different then to what they are today
“People of any age are bound to thoroughly enjoy this discussion.”
The free event starts at 10.30am.
