Teacher Henry George said the kids’ commitment was “second to none”.
“Our students were so excited about the money they helped raise for the Daniel Morcombe Foundation,” Mr George said.
“They thoroughly enjoyed participating as they cheered each other on.
“All whilst learning how to keep themselves and their peers safe.”
Across the country, over 10,000 students took part in the fun-run, with the goal of increasing awareness of child safety in schools. All money raised was donated to the foundation.
Fun-run director Brendan Hopp said it was important to talk early, talk often and keep talking about child safety.
“Every student, teacher, parent understands the importance of educating ourselves and teaching our kids about child safety,” he said.
