Grants deliver facelift for Narooma CWA

Narooma Country Women’s Association

Things are happening at Narooma CWA, with grants approved which have seen new windows in the main hall, repairs and new markings to the CWA carpark, and progress on making one toilet accessible to all abilities.

This means the marvellous Xmas hamper raffle tickets (still $1 each) can help us to help the community with funds raised.

Prizes include six hampers made up with donations from theses local businesses - Woolies; Dalmeny IGA; Millers; Narooma Plaza Pharmacy; Narooma Pharmacy; Raven Café; Silly Willys and a special prize from Narooma Golf Club (group of four golf round and hire carts x 2).

Thanks for the support the local business community has given to Narooma branch.

These are great prizes so look out for CWA members selling at Woolworths and Dalmeny IGA. Drawn Friday 14th at the Narooma members Xmas lunch at Casey’s Café at 12.30pm.

Last monthly meeting for 2018 is this Friday 7th Dec at 1pm. If you want to attend Xmas lunch either let Sally know at meeting or ring on 4476 691 or text/ring Joanne King 0408 433 178.

Narooma Camera Club

The Narooma Camera Club’s November meeting at Club Narooma enjoyed a good turn-out of past and present members to hear a retrospect of the photography of club co-founder Peter Robinson, who is still an active member specialising in monochrome prints. Other  past-presidents present were Peter Cotton, Brian Gunter, David Cotton and Kevin Budd.

The Narooma Camera Club thanks Peter for his long-term commitment in helping others to appreciate the history and skills involved in photography techniques.

CLICKABLE MOMENT: Narooma Camera Club co-founders David Dare and Peter Robinson were all smiles for good reason.

The next get together is the Christmas luncheon to be held in the Montague Room at Club Narooma on Wednesday 12th December.  Those members who have registered and paid their fee are to be there at 12.15 pm for a 12.30pm start.  This is the last time we meet this year but will resume meetings again on February 13th. 2019. There will be a notice in this newspaper to remind you and to tell you about the program and guest speaker. This is also when membership subscriptions are due.

To all the members and friends of this club - may you be blessed with happiness and joy this Christmas and the year to follow.
