Starting from the boatsheds near Sandy Point the group walked along a few streets to sample the way of life in this lovely village.

On the streets, walkers enjoyed the views over the lakes and ocean and over Tuross River towards the mountains.

The weather was wild and windy with a small spit of rain every now as they approached Coila Lake and found a sheltered area for morning tea.

The pathway under the mighty trees beside Coila Lake guided walkers to Coila Bar with the sand blocking Coila Creek from pouring out into the ocean.

The views are good looking up towards Bingie Bingie Point but moving on reluctantly, they stayed on the pathway till Tarandore Point with its old and tall trees.

There was a quick stop to check for wild seals playing in the ocean but, seeing as there were none, the group returned to the pathway and bypassed One Tree Lookout due to the conditions which included spitting rain and wind. The walkers then travelled along a section Clive Court to continue the pathway along Nelson Parade, finishing the walk at Tuross Boatshed and Cafe for lunch.

According to the walkers the highlight was either the fish and chips, or looking for the seals, but either way Michael McDonagh was thanked for this last bushwalk of the year.

Walkers will take a break over Christmas and the new year and the next program starts in March 2019. It will be prepared in February. The current program has the early morning walks in February and new members are always welcome.

The Dalmeny Narooma Bushwalkers Club was established in May 1986 to encourage bushwalking as a group activity.

The principal concepts were: to keep it simple and affordable to all with as few administrative procedures as possible, and to offer walks of varied grades to suit the majority with a focus on safety, exercise and friendship.

The club continues as it began with happy groups walking twice a week.

Since 1997, the club has walked with the support of the NSW Sport and Recreation Walking for Pleasure program.

There is an Annual General Meeting to discuss any general business and to elect Office Bearers for the next year.
