Narooma Vinnies
Nothing says thank you better than a meal together.
That’s why the Vinnies Christmas party at Wildfire @Lynch’s was so much fun. Centre manager Marisa Cashman gratefully acknowledged the work everyone had done and volunteers relaxed and reminisced about the year.
Even though many don’t see each other, as they work on different days, the common theme of helping others brought a wonderful level of camaraderie to the group.
Marisa and the St Vincent de Paul Society want the volunteers to know that they are a valuable asset to the community and the society. The annual Christmas event is a way of showing this. The food and service at Wildfire was amazing and brought festive cheer to all. Thank you, Rosh and staff.
Narooma CWA prepares to party
Have you noticed the new windows, and resurfaced CWA car park with bright signage?
There is also work happening inside to provide an accessible toilet for all.
These renovations are thanks to Community Building Partnership Grants from the NSW Government. It is hoped the rooms will be used by community groups and a celebration will take place.
The Christmas lunch is on Friday, December 14, at Casey’s Café from noon, and hamper raffle prizes will be drawn. Bookings essential on 4476 1691.
Thanks to those who bought tickets and good luck. Thanks to raffle supporters: Narooma Golf Club; Woolworths; Dalmeny IGA; Raven Café; Miller’s; Narooma Plaza & Narooma Pharmacies; Narooma Plaza Newsagency; and Silly Willy’s. Thanks to David Creed for keeping the lawn out front neat and if you need of a lawn/garden man details can be passed on.
The choir/drama group attended Estia Tuesday last week and will have been to IRT this most recent Tuesday to bring a little cheer and goodwill. A return of the naughty ladies was much appreciated and there might be a pic next week.
Any queries contact Sally James 4476-1691 or Joanne King 0408433178; hope to see some of you at the carols at NATA Oval.
