Following overnight storms we had humid conditions for 18 teams to contest our end of year Men’s Golf Presentation Day 4 man ambrose event.
And what a day it was to test relationships with plenty of whoops, hollers and cries of anguish as the birdies either dropped in or lipped out.
The winning team comprised Paul Batten, Nathan Batten, Paul Rumble and Greg Maloney who, in a tight finish, scraped home with a very impressive net 54 off a combined handicap of 6.
Runners-up were the team of Wayne Buick, Peter Daykin, Peter Bradley and Ian Reid with a score of 55.38.
Countback needed to award third spot to Dave Chamberlin, Bill Tyson, Peter Buttrey and Bob Paine on 57.
Our Captain Peter Buttrey and vice President Paul Revill thanked all of our sponsors for their generous support throughout the year and also our team of volunteer workers.
Thanks to the barbecue cooks on the day who as always kept everybody entertained, well fed and happy.
