In 1997 Mr Bennett started lighting his house on Fisherman’s Crescent for Christmas with two sets of lights.

He continued adding to his light collection and in 2006 Trevor’s grandson was diagnosed with a brain tumor and that was when Trevor decided to start raising money for the Starlight Foundation through his Christmas display.
Over the years Mr Bennett has donated more than $65,000 to the Starlight Foundation has in recent years on several occasions he has donated the funds raised to local families in need.
Mr Bennett said on Christmas Eve we having a sausage sizzle, live music from Graham Osborne and his daughter, the Dalmeny Ice Cream van and Santa giving away lollies to the children.
“There will be carols and a lot of fun things to do,” he said.
“It’s going to be a big night with neighbour’s joining in the fun too,” Mr Bennett said.
This year the Bennetts are donating the proceeds of the night to the Hardy family of Narooma.
