There have been plenty of people taking photos creating personal keepsakes of the late afternoon storms that have also brought with them torrential rain and some flooding. 

One Yule St household high on the hill didn’t need to snap the elusive strikes on their phone – they had their own personal visit from Mother Nature.  

It is believed tenants from the Yule St units were surprised when a bolt of lightning directly struck the outside of their residence on Thursday afternoon, February 7.

It appears the bolt of lightning hit the television aerial, as the cable is split and burn marks have been left on the bricked exterior wall where it was hanging.

It is believed no other damage occurred – although the TV may be out for the time being!
