The council said work would include drainage upgrades and resealing works from the pool car park to the eastern end of the wharf.
The council plans to complete the work in stages to allow commercial vehicle access to the wharf so vessel operators can load and unload as required.
Narooma Wharf will remain open, however adjacent parking will be restricted. The shared pathway will remain open, and pedestrians and cyclists will not be affected.
The council said it was essential the work took place before winter when higher tidal ranges would hinder work activities.
The council expects work to be completed by Friday, April 12, in time for the school holidays.
