The competition consisted of catching two legal size fish of the same species. If competitors managed this, they went into the draw for a prize.
If you were good enough to catch two legal size fish of two or more species (double up) you went into the draw for another prize.
Members were allowed to fish home waters, so it was difficult to gauge how many members entered the competition. However, the club did receive some entries in the two of the same species section, and only one member, Sue Waldock, entered four fish of two different species.
Sue entered two salmon and two bream, caught off Bar Beach in Narooma, to win coffees, hamburgers and ice creams for four people at a cafe of her choice.
David Maltby was the winner drawn from the entries for the two fish category entering two legal snapper.
