Mrs Low, of Dalmeny, won first prize for her great-tasting jam, but remained on the boil long enough to claim the broad ribbon for champion jam.
Mrs Low is no stranger to winning show ribbons – even interstate.
She said she won first prize at the 2018 Royal Melbourne Show for her mandarin marmalade.
“The trick for making prize winning jam is to pick the fruit at the right time and make sure it’s really fresh,” Mrs Low said.
“You need to cook it straight away, which can sometime be a bit of a hassle.
Mrs Low has also won champion rose, tapestry and many champion cows during her years of showing at various shows around Australia over the past 25 years.
She has won more than 300 broad ribbons.
The Bega Show was also the Far South Coast National Show and was held on February 15-17.
