Tails wagging at NATA Oval
It’s not often that councils receives praise from rate-payers, so members of the Narooma Dog Training Club (a branch of Animal Welfare League) take this opportunity to publicly say a big THANK YOU to the whole team at Eurobodalla Shire Council.

Why, you ask? For the recent works at Nata Oval, Narooma.
Nata Oval has several wonderful new additions, being the council’s response to community input into both the Recreational and Open Space Strategy and the Companion Animal Management Plan.
People are thrilled with the drinking fountain near the Visitors Centre. The fountain provides refreshing water to both humans and their dogs. With a push of a button on the side of the fountain, water flows into troughs at the base so pooches can drink freely. Fantastic!
Two benches have been installed under the trees on the eastern boundary of Nata Oval. These provide a welcome shady spot for dog owners to rest weary bones after playtime on this 24-hour leash free area. Two more concrete slabs are at the ready. Hopefully these seats will have backrests to better support older people, and some kind of overhead structure that will provide shelter from rain, as well as sun.
So thank you council - the Nata Oval is looking fabulous! Grass has been mown and attention is being given to gate accesses. Sadly dog poo remains a problem, especially now that bag dispensers are being fazed out, so we encourage all dog owners to carry a bio-degradable bag with you, so you can pick up and bin it responsibly. Let’s all show we are proud of Nata Oval and encourage them to continue to make improvements to this very important community asset.

Men say thanks
Narooma Men's Shed would like to thank our supporters and well wishers in our endeavours to relocate to a new site in the town above the scout hall in Baker Parade.
After the signing over of the Roads and Maritime Services-held land Friday, February 8, we received a number of donations to get our building project underway.
Firstly, the ladies of the Drop in Centre presented us with a cheque of $1000, which was a surprise to us, as it was unsolicited. A great gesture by them as they are a not-for-profit organisation, just like our services.
Following was another donation for a similar amount by the Dalmeny Deviates who have supported us in the past and continue to help us in our new venture. Finally, the Easts Caravan Park on the flat have donated an accommodation bundle worth over $1000 which we can use as a first prize in an upcoming raffle to be drawn after the Oyster Festival.
These and other moneys we receive will be used to bolster the short fall we have in financing the new Men's Shed project.

Appeal to Liberal Party
Does the local branch of the Liberal Party want and expect a Labor Party win at the next election?
Or is it just complacent and comfortable in the knowledge that they can hold their positions in the party machine, and that it is all too much trouble?
Where are the meetings urging people to hear the explanations for the policies you are pushing?
You have a wonderful opportunity to promote your cause and win the election against Labor, who would be disastrous fro the country and the people in it.
Nearly all the people I know, agree that the Labor policies would be horrendous on the economy and our children and their children - and so on for unknown generations - perhaps never to regain the wonderful lifestyle and freedoms we now enjoy.
