At around 3am, Wednesday, March 13, Narooma Fire and Rescue and Narooma Rural Fire Service (RFS) attended a bushfire on a cliff adjacent Ballingalla Street and Clarke Street.
A Fire and Rescue spokesman said crews extinguished the fire, which was difficult to reach.
"We were there with RFS for a couple of hours to put out a bushfire on the cliff under the golf course," he said.
"There is definitely some suspicion as to how the fire started there, but we aren't sure yet."
At around 9.30am, Fire and Rescue attended to extinguish the fire again after it had reignited.
"There is no wind about and we're confident we can put it out this morning. There is nothing to be concerned about."
The spokesman asked if anyone has seen someone suspicious in the area to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
