"Most people coming to the Festival like to mix their freshly shucked oysters and other wonderful gourmet experiences with great music, while others just get totally absorbed in the music and with good reason," Festival spokesman Niels Bendixsen said.

Nine-piece powerhouse party band Big Boss Groove from Canberra will set the mood for the Festival weekend after the 8pm fireworks at the free concert on Friday night. Their nine musicians will have everyone on their feet with their two amazing vocalists, three-piece horn, and grooving rhythm sections.

Friday's free concert starts at 4pm with Narooma Public and Narooma High Schools and the Rhythm Hunters displaying their talents.

Then Newcastle guitarist-songwriter Nick Saxon is on stage from 6pm followed by local band Malumba and then Big Boss Groove until 10pm.

Saturday's live music program will see six acts playing from 10am through to 6pm on the Main Stage. They include local musicians Jazz Alley, Dust and Echoes and Beautifully Mad.

Alternative roots/folk artists James Bennett is on from 2pm, followed by the Smuggled Budgies featuring local blues singer and harmonica legend Peter Dean, ending with the very popular high energy blues band 19-Twenty.

"A 19-Twenty show is something definitely not to be missed," Mr Bendixsen said.

"They've received amazing reactions as they've blazed their way through Europe and around Australia playing anywhere and everywhere."

The Festival Community Stage will also feature live music from 10.30am until 3pm.
