Narooma Police said reports of minor damage to the cladding of the Scout Hall had been caused by rocks thrown against the wall.
The Scout Hall is a community space for Scouts and the public to use. There is a kitchen, bathroom and shower facilities.
A Scouts spokesman was disappointed and said the building has been kept in good condition.
"It could be an act of misspent youth, there have been multiple bongs found on the premises also," he said.
The Narooma Men's Shed have plans to utilise and share the hall space. They will be building new sheds on the same site as the Scout Hall.
Police said they look for evidence through CCTV, forensic means or witnesses. If you have any information, contact Narooma Police on 44762044.
In a separate act of vandalism, Liberal candidate for Eden-Monaro, Fiona Kotvojs', campaign signage had been damaged overnight.
Ms Kotvojs said the signage had been erected on private property 24-hours before being vandalised.
"The signs are actually on private property and that's a concern," Ms Kotvojs said.
"We live in a democratic country where we have the freedom of speech and the right to have an opinion, but something like this is a reflection of our society we don't want.
"It is a statement where people are resorting to vandalism - a behaviour we don't want in Narooma.
"This [the signs] and the Scout Hall and any other forms of vandalism are unacceptable. There are other ways to express yourself," she said.
