Round four of Group 16 Minor Rugby League saw not only Election Day, but an opportunity for the Narooma Devils to square up against the Moruya Sharks, a rivalry much older than the one between Scott Morrison and Bill Shorten.

The under 7 Reds were keen, wasting no time as three players scored tries before Moruya could put any points on the board. The Sharks defended well, but when the Junior Devils tackled nice and low they started to bring the opposition down easily.
The under 9s knew they had a battle on their hands with the Sharks a bigger and more aggressive team, leading to a number of penalties going the Junior Devils way throughout the game.
It was like a grand final being played, as both teams slugged it out. The Devils sprang into action - tackle after tackle, they just kept turning up.
The Sharks were wanting to score a try, and started playing rougher and harder, but the Devils were not going to succumb to foul play.
The Sharks became more aggressive towards the end of the game, but the Devils used this to their advantage and maintained their composure.
The under 16s also knew they would have a hard game on their hands due to players being out with injury, but spirits remained high.
Once the boys settled in they started to play decent footy, as Hayden, Rusty, and Michael led the way up front. Khan made some good metres out wide, and Marshall scored a fantastic try from dummy half.
Although the game got a little rough, and the scoreline crept away from the Devils in the end, the boys held their heads high and competed right until the final siren. They know what they need to work on at training for next week.
This week's feature team is the Under 9s league gag girls, coached by Kate and Narelle.
This week, Sienna and Maddie were great dummy halves, and Eva and Ilah organised the team and were strong in defence.
Anikah and Aria were our try scorers and Sara, Charlie and Lakisha showed confidence in attack. Taya and Indigo demonstrated speed with great runs and tags.
