Narooma Camera Club
The next meeting of Narooma Camera club is on Tuesday, June 18. We are a small and friendly group who meet at Club Narooma at 7pm each third Tuesday of the month. Visitors and new members welcome.
At the last camera club meeting, Brian and Shirley Gunter gave a presentation on the specialised subject of cycling photography. Their son, Mark, was a top-level international cycling photographer prior to his death from cancer in 2015.
In 2016 Mark's wife, Leeanne, in association with an online cycling website, cyclingtips.com, set up an international competition in cycling photography.
The "Mark Gunter Photographer of the Year Awards" celebrate the life and work of Mark and provides cash awards to three young cyclists and to raise funds for cancer research.
A selection of entries were shown from the 2018 competition followed by photographs taken by Mark.
