It's a privilege as a disabled person diagnosed with physcogenic non-epileptic seizures, "where every day is unpredictable".
I would like to thank so many in this community for their support of my physical and mental well being.
This is truly a community of compassion and understanding.
The Montague Arts and Craft Society prize and encouragement is going to help assist with treatment, as trial medication for my condition is expensive and arduous.
As an artist, it's important how we recycle, interact and change with our environment, both physically and mentally.
Just like the making of my surfboard, having many processes, from being sold as liquid in different pots in a shop, just waiting to be mixed and made into something, then that something was carved and shaped into a board to learn balance and ride the waves with our mates.
Then it was just laying around doing nothing, but collecting dust and getting in the way.
Then it became an art therapy project to paint, self-express and ponder our planet and beliefs. Then to be part of a community art exhibition, followed by a talking piece that brightens a home.
The arts form a strong base of community spirit and a way to socialize, express and share knowledge.

All the fun of the fair

This is a volunteer and community run event and is the Bodalla Public Schools major fundraiser each year.

Can you help with writers festival?
Batemans Bay Writers Festival AGM will be held on Wednesday, June 12 at South Coast Colleges (Adult Education), Batemans Bay from 5pm.
Committee members who presently hold the positions of president, secretary and treasurer have indicated that they will be standing down.
Our constitution requires a minimum committee of seven members. Unless we fill these positions it will leave the organisation in a position of not being able to function under provisions of the NSW Fair Trading Act.
Those of you who have attended the three previous festivals will know how wonderful they were to experience and how much enjoyment they brought to locals and visitors.
The festival held one function in 2018 and through its success, we know there is considerable interest in holding further events and festivals, but we must have a committee and volunteers to implement them.
If you have time and ideas, you can assist with presenting future events.
We do hope you will show your support by attending the AGM, or by expressing your interest by email to president@batemansbaywritersfestival.com.
Your committee would love to see this wonderful community resource continue to flourish in Batemans Bay.
