Trapped woman freed after crash on Princes Hwy, Kianga Creek

7pm: Narooma VRA Rescue Squad were assisted by Moruya SES crews to free the woman from the vehicle.

She was taken to hospital by ambulance.

5.45pm: A Westpac Life Saver Rescue Helicopter was called at about 5pm to search for a woman who was trapped in a vehicle at Kianga.

A spokesperson said the crew was ready to commence the search before they were told to stand down.

He said a high-level medical response was required.

5.30pm: Emergency services are attempting to free a person who is trapped in a vehicle that crashed off the Princes Highway into Kianga Creek, Kianga.

A Fire and Rescue spokesperson said one person was trapped and multiple emergency services were at the scene.

Live Traffic NSW said traffic was affected in both directions and advised to exercise caution and reduce speed.

It is believed paramedics, the police, RFS and SES are at the scene.
