Six members of the Narooma Amateur Swim Club traveled to Canberra over the weekend of June 15 and 16 for the Ginninderra swim meet at the Australian Institute of Sport.

The weekend was a success for the club and community, with Lillyan Potts the standout, as she achieved her under 13s NSW State Age Championship time for the 100-metre breaststroke, finishing third. She also achieved NSW SC Country Championship times in eight other individual events.
Connor Potts achieved his first NSW SC Country Championships time in the under 10s and under 50-metre breaststroke. Considering Connor is only eight years of age, this is a fantastic achievement. He also finished third in the under 50-metre backstroke, only missing on the NSW Country time by .02 of a second.
Joshua Ryan continued the success with two individual NSW Country SC Championship times in the men's open 50-metre backstroke, and the Men's 13-14 years 200-metre backstroke.
Bray Constable achieved seven individual NSW SC Country Championship times, and placed third in the 11-year-olds 100-metre backstroke.
Joel Constable achieved a NSW State Championship time in the under 10s 50-metre freestyle while winning the event.. He also achieved three individual NSW SC Country Championship times, and finished third in the 100-metre backstroke.
Ilah Constable rounded out the team of swimmers, and managed a personal best in the 10-year-old girls, 50-metre breaststroke.
The swimmers are working hard to improve their times under coach Airidas Untulis in preparation for the upcoming NSW SC Country Championships in July at the Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre.
These dedicated youngsters are training up to seven times a week at the Narooma swimming pool. They all have individual goals they are working towards, and have the support of their families, community aquatics, the wider community, and sponsors to help them achieve them.
