Phil and Yvette Taylor have infused a long-standing optometry practice with a brand new vision.
They began operating Narooma Vision in April, taking it over from Robert McIntyre, who had run the business the past 22 years.
The pair decided to spread their wings by purchasing the business and take the plunge into working together.
Having lived in the Eurobodalla for the past 14 years, Phil and Yvette love the natural beauty of the region and have strong family ties to the area.
Phil's grandfather Reverend Leslie Aaron Taylor was the Methodist minister in Narooma during the 1930-40s, and his father John was born in Narooma in 1935, attending Narooma Public School and going on to become a nuclear scientist.
For Yvette, Narooma was the destination of holidays with friends and where her little sister played in regional squash competitions.
The two can often be seen taking leisurely strolls along the beach with their groodle, Bella. Phil is a keen tennis player and jazz musician, while Yvette is passionate about Scottish country dancing and a good book.
The couple is excited to help the local community with finding solutions to their vision needs and by providing exceptional after-care.
Their heart is to provide great quality, fun and fashionable specs and good old-fashioned service.
As an optometrist, Phil is therapeutically qualified which means he can prescribe medications relating to eye conditions and disease, while Yvette is the friendly front-of-house face.

Along with the Taylors, Ray Walton is the store's affable optical dispenser and is a master of his craft.
Always up for a laugh and a chat, Ray provides excellent after-care and will fit a pair of spectacles with flair. He is happy to share his expertise and knowledge of lens and frame materials.
"We stand for quality and excellence in meeting the eye health needs of our patients and providing optical solutions that are fashionable and fun," Yvette said.
"Our service style is warm, open and friendly. Our store is a fresh, modern, comfortable space with a touch of quirk and whimsy."
Narooma Vision offers comprehensive eye tests - vision testing, diabetic eye examinations, RMS checks as well as spectacle, optical and sunglasses frames, contact lenses and a wide range of products, including single vision to the latest technology multi-focal lenses, glasses care kits, lid cleansers and dry eye treatments.
Eye exams are bulk-billed under Medicare, including referrals and medical reports to the RMS or referring doctors.
The team is also happy to cater to the local Narooma workforce, by providing early and late appointments and quick lunchtime checks.
Narooma Vision staff stay abreast of trends within the industry. "There is a focus on myopia control currently in optometry," Phil said.
"Growing numbers of children are becoming myopic or short-sighted at an earlier age around the world, which increases the risk of eye disease such as retinal detachment later in life.
"The growing use of digital devices and mobile phones puts increased demand on near vision.
"Current evidence has shown that by correcting vision with either multifocal spectacles or multifocal contact lenses, or alternatively with orthokeratology, the progression of myopia and the risk of future myopia-related eye disease can be reduced."
Overall the Taylors are thrilled at the opportunity to help and get to know the local community.
"We love the locals - they're friendly and relaxed and have been very welcoming," Yvette said.
"Narooma is a very special place and is so gorgeous, it soothes the soul every time we come over the hill and see spectacular Narooma across the bridge."
