The Sussex Inlet 62nd annual Family Fishing Carnival is a fishing competition with stacks of prizes and cash to be won. The emphasis is on children enjoying the joys of fishing in a family atmosphere. The carnival runs from this Friday and continues until Wednesday, July 18. Competitors can fish from the river bank, a boat, inside the basin, out in the ocean or off the rocks. This event is the longest running event of its type in Australia. Adrenalin Rush

On Friday, July 12, the Berry Sport and Recreation Centre will hold its Junior Kids' Club Adrenalin Rush program where junior thrill-seekers aged 7-12 can push themselves to the limit with lots of exciting activities and games such as indoor climbing, the giant swing and flying fox. The program guarantees to keep kids entertained these school holidays.
Learn Macrame
Berry, July 13
This workshop teaches basic macrame knots which can be used for all your macrame creations. You will go through the process of completing your very own macrame wall hanging to take home. Learn about the different types and sizes of cotton yarns, techniques for layering and structuring your macrame and different combinations of knots for decorative effects. Places are limited to 10 participants at This Old House Studio at 10am.
Live Music
Moruya, July 14
Beat the winter blues and head to this month's concert from Eurobodalla Live Music. With a mix of new and old, Eurobodalla Live Music has something to suit everyone. The Somedays with Paul Marshall is an eclectic band that will have you dancing to funk, folk, jazz, gypsy, pop and country music. Sing Australia will serenade away the time with a string of old and new favourites and The Clydesdales will entertain with a unique style of folk music. Enjoy an afternoon of live music entertainment from 12.30pm to 3.30pm at the Moruya Golf Club.
Swamp Stompers

The Swamp Stompers will be stomping the stage at Club Sapphire this Saturday. They will be joined by South Coast funk-rockers The Spindrift Saga. Playing their own unrivaled style of funky rock and blues with heavy grooves, The Swamp Stompers sound like the musical lovechild of John Butler Trio, Led Zeppelin and Red Hot Chili Peppers, with three-part harmonies, catchy guitar riffs and didgeridoo soundscapes setting this original blues-rock trio apart from the pack. The band is renowned for their incredibly high-energy live shows, with punters and peers left in complete awe by the raw power and finesse displayed by this seemingly unstoppable guitar riff-driven beast.
