Narooma Ladies Golf
On Monday 8th July 16 Ladies played a Stroke Round which was also a Match Play Qualifying Round. Bec Smart was the Winner of the day with 74 nett and Runner Up was Sylvia Donohoe with 75 nett. Balls went to 78 nett.

The 8 qualifiers for the Match Play are Bec Smart vs Maddie Robinson, Kay Lawrence vs Jenny Walker, Dorelle Monteith vs Lee Lewis and Di Wilkes vs Jayne Hotchkis.
On Wednesday 10th July Narooma Ladies hosted their annual Charity Day 4 person Ambrose Event this year for The Rural Fire Service.
60 players participated on this fun day and the Winners with a fine score of 62, nett 53 3/8 were Chris Fader, Richard Bodell, Dierdre Landells and Laurie Hall who was visiting from Traralgon in Victoria. For the first time an all girls team entered. This team consisted of Lorraine McCarthy, Val Spooner, Julie Blessington and Maureen Casswell who were also placegetters on the day.
The amazing amount of $1450 was raised for the Rural Fire Service through entry fees and raffles on the day.

THURSDAY 11th JULY
Cold and windy conditions greeted the field of 134 players who found scoring difficult with a resultant DSR of 74/73 and only four scores better than handicap. A Grade was taken out by Jeff Green from Portsea who registered 37 points off his handicap of 9. Four players were in contention for the minor placings with 35 points; the countback favoured Jim Grant and Scott Ker ahead of Colin O'Sullivan and Mark Elmasri. In B Grade Bob Mettam had by far the best round of the day with 40 points off his handicap of 22, five points better than Preston Cope who edged out Hal Fraser on countback with 35 points. Geoff Broadfoot took out C Grade on countback ahead of Mark Bartrop with 37 points off his handicap of 31. Tony Reid finished in third place with 36 points.
The nearest-the-pin winners were Scott Ker on both 3 and 9, David Bennett on 14 and Justin Bennett on 17, while the ball competition went down to 30 points with 15 on the way home.
SATURDAY 13th JULY
Again the field of 130 players found scoring very difficult with a resultant DSR of 74 and only one player bettering handicap in the second qualifying round of the Captain's Trophy. In A Grade Rod Fletcher, off a handicap of 9, had the best score of the day in registering 71 net. Nigel Roberts took second position with 73 net, one better than Matthew George. In B Grade Gary Leahy was favoured by the countback in scoring 73 net off his handicap of 18 ahead of Shane Buckley from Bermagui. Bec Smart took out C Grade with 74 net off her handicap of 25, one better than John Hasler who headed Alex Gardner on countback with 75 net.
The nearest-the-pin winners were Jason Andrew on 3, Diana Williamson on 9, Mark Bartop on 14 and Scott Ker on 17, while the ball competition went down to 79 net, the equivalent of 29 stableford points.
Following the second qualifying round the draw has been posted for the Captain's Trophy. The leading qualifier, Rod Fletcher, will play Kevin Seamons while the second qualifier, Matt Corbett, will match up against Terry O'Callaghan.Other matches are Graham Small and Ben Sealey, Jason Andrew and Mark Bartrop, Nigel Roberts and Michael Turner, Gary Leahy and Paul Davey, Colin O'Sullivan and Denis Fry and finally Hal Fraser and Scott Ker. These matches are to be played by 25th August.
SUNDAY 14th JULY
Thirty players enjoyed cool but fine conditions for the Terry Gibbons Trophy. The winner of the day was Lorraine McCarthy with an excellent score of 40 points followed by Ron Manly on 38 points. Tony Hunt won the nearest-the-pin and the ball competition went down to 32 points.

Results for Thursday 11th July 2019 - Par
A 3 way countback decided the top spot in A grade today which went to Bobbie Finch (hcp 14) edging Lindsay Sharp (hcp 10) and Bob Paine (hcp 10) all on plus 1.
Another 3 way countback decided the win in B grade to Dave Cole (hcp 19) shading Roy Struthers (hcp 16) and Brad Mairs (hcp 17) all on plus 2.
The C grade win went to our Monthly Medal winner Chris Falkland (hcp 23) scoring a best of the day plus 5. Then followed Charlie Bennett (hcp 26) on plus 4 and Barry Benny (hcp 33) on plus 2.
An Eagle was landed on the par 5 sixteenth hole by Robert Drew.
Results for Saturday 13th July 2019 - Stableford
The A grade winner today was James Millwood (hcp 15) scoring 36 points. Runner up after a countback was Derek Quinto (hcp 13) shading Robert Drew (hcp 11) both on 35 points.
A countback saw Ross Simpson (hcp 20) take the B grade winner over visitor Neil Schlipalius (hcp 19) both on 33 points. Greg Cummins (hcp 21) was next on 32 points.
Arnold Watson (hcp 23) had a best score of the day C grade win with 41 points. Runner up was Jochen Adam (hcp 29) on 40 then came Gerald Wright (hcp 23) on 37.
A number of golfers from HMAS Albatross joined our competition today and we were pleased to present our encouragement award to Paul Philips who scored a hard fought 12 points.

Bermagui Ladies
On Wednesday the Bermagui Ladies played a Split Sixes Competition generously sponsored by Salon Paradis and Pamper in Paradis in Bermagui was won by the team of Vicki Hummel, Bev Tyson, Lynette Manton and Lesley Ashton 98 points. Runners up on a countback were Jo Mills, Mary Mihalides, Elsbeth Cripps and Barb Harrop 95 points from Pat Jones Michelle Medelis, Anne Browne and Val Schilling. NTPs 6th T. Byrne, 8th M.Hayes, 11th and Golden Shot M. Medelis 15th, 2nd shot M.Medelis Hole in One - her 3rd after 30 years.
Saturday's Stableford Event was won by Val Schilling handicap 34 with 35 points. Runner-up Bev Tyson handicap 36 with 34 points on a countback from Kris Hood handicap 45 NTP 11th Bev Tyson.

Tuross Head
The Tuross Head Country Club men's golf held their Scoty stableford competition on the weekend and the winner was visitor Christopher Row with an excellent score of 41 points.
On a day of high wind, which usually leads to lower scores, the reverse was the case with second placegetter Dave Bray scoring 38 stableford points ahead of Peter Nikolic also on 38 points filling third spot on a countback.
John Phyland 36 points and Graeme Sindel 35 points filled the remaining award positions.
Nearest the pins were won by won by A grade golfer C. Rowe on the 4th hole.
Mark Haberkorn was closest on the 6th with 2.48m and John Phyland won the 7th hole with 6.25m.
B grade player Peter Nikolic was best on the 4th with 4.88m and Russell Taylor won the 6th with 4.60m.
Peter Dugan was closest on the 4th hole with 6.16 m and Peter was also awarded the 6th hole with 3.08m.
Thursday's medley stableford golf competition was won by Steven O'Shea with 36 points.
Tony Russell, also scoring 36 points, was second on a countback and Jennifer Gray 34 points, Trevor Jones 33 points received the remaining awards.
Nearest the pins were won by Peter Dugan, Trevor Jones and Ian Manton.
