Mr Ford was impressed that despite the club's small numbers, Narooma Rotarians still did so much for the local community, often working together with other local groups to make community events like the Busking Championships so successful.
He was also delighted that Narooma Rotarians resolved a dilemma for 2019-2020 when no one person was prepared to take on the presidency.
"Our solution was to rotate four past presidents through the year to ensure our small but active club continued to function," current Narooma President Charmaine White said.
Ms White is the first of the 'Presidents Four' and is also an experienced sailor.
"No one was available to take the helm for the whole year so we decided to divide the year into four three-month 'watches' each with a different 'captain' to steer our club into the next year," Ms White.
Ange Ulrichsen will follow, then Bob Aston with Laurelle Pacey concluding the year.
