Despite being minor premiers in both reserve grade and under 14s, the Giants couldn't get it done against the Bermagui Breakers.
The under 14s played a tight match against the Breakers, but fell two points short in a 4.8 (32) to 4.6 (30) loss.
The Giants trailed for most of the first half, but used a big third quarter to take a six-point lead into the last term.
However, the Breakers were too strong in the last, kicking the only goal of the quarter to steal a win.
Noah Reid, Kalin Dorn, Riley Nimmo, and William Dallas were the Giants' goalscorers on the day.
The reserve-grade side also took on the Breakers, but were never really in the match as Bermagui ran out 32-point winners.
The Breakers jumped in front with a four-goals-to-two first quarter, and extended their lead after every quarter.
Buster Ware kicked three goals for the Giants, while Cameron Dorn (two) and Jayden Richardson also hit the scoresheet.
The under 14s will take on the Pambula Panthers in next week's preliminary final at Narooma's Bill Smyth Oval next weekend, while the reserves will play the Tathra Sea Eagles.
