The former Narooma Devil was part of the Newtown Jets side that secured a dramatic 20-15 extra time victory of the Wentworthville Magpies in Sunday's Canterbury Cup grand final.
It's Wilton's second premiership in as many years, after he captained the Cronulla Sharks' Jersey Flegg side to the 2018 premiership.
He started Sunday's match on the bench, and came into the foray in the 51st minute of play. He proceeded to run for 73 metres on seven carries, and made 23 tackles at a 76.7 per cent success rate.
Wilton was a handful for Wentworthville's defence towards the end of the match, and almost crashed over for a try inside the final five minutes of regulation.
The match was locked at 14 at full time, and the Jets went behind early in extra time thanks to a field goal from Jaeman Salmon.
However, Newtown fullback William Kennedy scored the match winning try with three minutes remaining off a kick from Billy Magoulias.
The win means Wilton has one more game to look forward to before the end-of-season break: next week's NRL State Championship against the Burleigh Bears at ANZ Stadium.
The match pits the champion of NSW's Canterbury Cup against the winner of QLD's Intrust Super Cup, and is one of two curtain raisers to next weekend's NRL grand final.
The match will kick off at 1.35pm, and will be televised live on Channel Nine. Coverage will begin at 1pm.
