The 20 kids who attended the school holiday fishing morning enjoyed the experience, with at least one going home and practising casting on the front lawn.
A few fish were caught and released. Eleven-year-old Lachlan Mead caught a nice snapper and eight-year-old Isla Golding got her first ever snapper. Others to catch fish were Charley Yeaman, Brody Crawford, Liam Tauge, and Harry McLaren.
"A great time was had by all the kids and helpers," committee member Jan Hemmingsen said.
"Thanks go to the ladies for serving morning tea and lunch, and to the member volunteers who made this a successful day."
The fishing club holds clinics two-three times a year.
On November 23-24, the fishing club is hosting young folk from CanTeen for the weekend with the support of Narooma businesses and charities.
