Toby Youlten, 27, and Nerida Ladmore, 26, were each fined $1000 after pleading guilty on Monday, October 14, in Batemans Bay Local Court to affray.
Ladmore also pleaded guilty to using offensive language in a public place.
Police told the court Youlten was involved in a confrontation at 11.30pm on July 7. He had a heated conversation with another patron before grabbing his victim's jacket and headbutting him.
Youlten then threw a number of punches and staff and patrons attempted to intervene.
Youlten and Ladmore were evicted from the premises, but stayed out the front for a long period of time.
Police said the couple then confronted another male at about 12.30am, and Ladmore threw a number punches. Youlten then tackled the man and put him in a headlock.
Narooma police heard this incident from their station, and found the couple at their car approximately 200 metres from the hotel.
The couple agreed to go home, but police observed them arguing with multiple people at 12.50am.
Police requested they leave "no less than 10 times", but Ladmore started yelling offensive language at the officers.
The couple's defence solicitor said there "must be more to this incident", and said Youlten "regrets it very much".
"He was in hospital for a long time as a child for brain damage, and he never received appropriate treatment," the solicitor said. "It's essential he receives that treatment, and he must take advantage of this situation."
The solicitor also said Youlten would cooperate with his psyschologist, and "actively engage" in mental-health treatment.
He said Ladmore also regretted the incident, and had since been provoked but had managed to walk away.
Magistrate Doug Dick described the incident as "very unsavoury" before delivering sentence.
