It can only mean one thing - rehearsals for the upcoming Bega Big Groove are well underway.
Get ready to experience the second Bega Big Groove this month - a high energy, funky night of earthy music, drum and dance.
The concert will feature some of the Bega Valley's most talented and dedicated community dance groups performing with Stonewave Taiko alongside an all-star cast of guest musicians.
On Saturday, October 26, at the Bega Civic Centre, more than 50 performers, musicians and dancers will be bringing you an evening of ground-breaking collaborations of rhythm and movement.
A multicultural global fusion - east, west and all that is best in our community including hip hop, Indigenous, Spanish, West African, and Japanese.
The line-up bringing you the deepest, fattest, funkiest grooves includes Ben Fowler, Gabadoo, Dan Scollay, Sam Martin, David Dixon, YuNiOn, Bembakan, Stonewave Taiko, Far South Flamenco, Flip the Script Crew, and special guests.
Bring your dancing shoes, join in the fun and dance your heart out to the fat and funky sounds of The Bega Big Groove Band, a humongous funky powerhouse Afro pop orchestra featuring Stonewave Taiko, Bembakan and special guests.
This will be the music event of the spring calendar! All ages are welcome, but as the Bega Civic Centre is a licensed venue under 18s need a responsible adult.
A bar and food vendors will be on hand to keep you fuelled for dancing before the event and throughout the evening.
