Attending members heard Ms Glover had recently signed a new five-year lease, which gives MACS the full time use of the Studios for art and craft activities.
MACS will now offer self-help groups and tutored workshops on each weekday, including a new felting course held on Mondays. Interested locals are very welcome to come for two free sessions at the Studios.
As MACS also holds the tender for the Narooma Visitor Information Centre, and artists can display and sell works in their own gallery of art and craft. So come down for look when you need that hand-made, unique gift idea.
MACS encourages interested non-members to become volunteers, known as Friends of the VIC, to share their local knowledge in a meet-and-greet role, which is vital during the busy upcoming tourist season.
Why not give it a try and have some fun while learning something new about your community along the way! All information on 4476 2881 for MACS membership, volunteering and activities, or just call in to the Narooma Visitor Information Centre for a friendly chat and a look at local art and craft.
Narooma Camera Club
The Narooma Camera Club met at Club Narooma on Tuesday, October 15.
Members entered travel photos into the club competition. Rob Geraghty from the Eurobodalla Camera Club judged the photos. Mr Geraghty and his wife talked about their trip to Antarctica and showed photos and video clips from the Falkland Islands, plus photos of penguins and seals on the ice shelves of Antarctica.
They shared tricks in photography to cope with extreme weather. The Camera Club thanked Geraghty and Club Narooma for their hospitality where many camera club members enjoy a bistro dinner before the evening meetings. Visitors to the Camera Club are welcome at 7pm on the third Tuesday of each month at Club Narooma.
