Another day of hot and windy conditions greeted a good field of 145 players. In A Grade there was an unprecedented eight-way tie for the winning position on 37 points. The spoils went to Richard Goodridge, Matthew George and Chris Hewitt with Phil Haynes, Dominic Connaughton, Barry Podmore, Laurie Holmes and John Breust missing out. B Grade was a lot more clearcut with Robert Hudson posting the best score of the day of 40 points off his handicap of 19. Derek Smith took second place with 39 points and Troy Beech third place with 38 points. In C Grade Greg Ryan was the winner with 38 points off his handicap of 28 on countback over Gil Mott, while John Gregs filled third place with 35 points.
The nearest-the-pin winners were Paul Davey on 3, Hal Fraser on 9, Shaun Dickson from Mollymook on 14 and David Hayward on 17, and the ball competition went down to all on 34 points.
SATURDAY, DECEMBER 14
Yet another good field of 138 players enjoyed favourable conditions with resultant good scoring. A Grade saw the best score of the day when Brendan Warby registered 43 points off his handicap of 8, followed by Shaun Martyn and Andrew Thompson on 39 points with Brett Thompson missing out on countback. In B Grade a countback favoured Paul Davey on 39 points off his handicap of 15 ahead of Geoff Fredericksen from Shoalhaven Heads, while Les Campbell finished third with 38 points. C Grade was also decided by countback when Julie Whyte scored 42 points off her handicap of 25 to finish ahead of Tanya Desmond. Don Caldwell took third place with a well-earned 41 points.
The nearest-the-pin winners were Bec Smart on 3, Brendan Warby on 9, Greg Riley on 14 and Scott Ker on 17, while the ball competition went down to 34 points with 18 on the way home.
Narooma Ladies
On Monday 9/12 a small group of ladies played stableford with the winner Diedre Landells coming in with a big score of 38 and runner up Julie Blessington with 36.
Ball run down was to 33.
Wednesday 11/12 saw a bigger field for our Christmas Triathlon stroke round.
Division 1 winner was Kath Roberts with a nett score of 71, runner up was Di Wilkes with 73 ocb.
Division 2 winner was Julie Whyte with a nett score of 72 and Chris Hendra runner up with a nett score of 74. Balls went to 78. A fun day was had by all. Julie Whyte was the overall winner of the triathlon.
Bermagui Men
Results for Thursday 12th December 2019 - Stableford. The A grade winner today was John Mills (hcp 13) with 39 points. Runner up was Mick Carr (hcp 13) on 37 points. Then followed Noel Flavell (hcp 13) on 36.
Peter Robertson (hcp 20) topped B grade with 40 points. Dave Moore (hcp 16) was next on 36 shading Geoff Vercoe (hcp 19) on 34. Michael Murray (hcp 23) had a best score of the day 42 points to win C grade. Then a countback decided Geoff Bell (hcp 35) as runner up shading Ron Lye (hcp 23) both on 38 points.
Results for Saturday 14th December 2019 - Ambrose
23 teams contested our end of year Men's Golf Presentation Day 4 man ambrose event and what a day it was to test relationships with plenty of cheers and cries of anguish as the birdies either dropped in or lipped out.
The winning team comprised Wayne Buick, Mark Thomas, Brian Kenyon and Peter Daykin who in a tight finish came in with a very impressive net 54.62.
Runners Up were the team of Dick, Blayney, Beckham and Martin with a score of 55.25.
Third place to Rob Gammage, Michael Pearce, Derek Quinto and Jones on 55.51.
Our Captain Ray Steophens and vice President Paul Revill thanked all of our sponsors for their generous support throughout the year and also our team of volunteer workers. Thanks to the barbeque cooks on the day who as always kept everybody entertained, well fed and happy.

Narmorgui Cup for 2019 went to Bermagui (2nd year in succession).

Join us on Sundays for our regular 9 hole Dad's Army hit out or Mondays for the 9 hole Chook Run competition.
Our competitions will carry on as normal over the Christmas / New Year holiday period.
