Task Force Commander, Captain Leif Maxfield aboard the HMAS Adelaide said this was the largest mobilisation in aid efforts so far.
"Friday marked our largest projection of vehicles and people ashore so far, with landing craft delivering them via Quarantine Bay near Eden," Captain Maxfield said.
"Those units moved up towards Bega where they will be better placed to visit isolated areas, establish what the local needs might be, and provide supplies if required.
"We now have two tanker trucks in the field as well which have provided the Rural Fire Service with water at their request."
Liaison teams were also flown into the areas of Yowrie and Wandella, while a liaison team at Bermagui have reported back and crew aboard the Adelaide are now assessing how they can best assist.
Critically, Captain Maxfield said the vessel was now working directly with the RFS and Police to direct efforts.
"We have liaison officers from the Rural Fire Service and Victoria Police aboard HMAS Adelaide right now working with us to even more directly coordinate our joint efforts and boost our inter-operability as we respond together," Captain Maxfield said.
