This will be the first Registration Day for the year and we look forward to welcoming all dogs and puppies over three months old, as well as their owners/handlers.
We also look forward to seeing many friends from past years who we hope will be able to return with their pooches for another year of canine education programs, in-house competitions and the chance to win NDTC awards.
Registration will take place from 1pm to 1.45pm at Nata Oval, located behind the Visitor Information Centre, Princes Highway, Narooma.
The ground is looking good with some green returning to the grass at long last.
All new participants must arrive with their pet on a collar and lead, and bring vaccination papers.
Doggie poo bags, treats and weather appropriate clothing are a must, as are sturdy, closed-in shoes - no thongs or sandals please!
We provide buckets of water for our canine friends and a drinking water/sunscreen/first aid station for the rest of us. Classes begin at 2pm and go for one hour.
This year Yve Robinson, who has decades of dog handling experience, will lead Rally Obedience monthly classes.
Once new handlers have completed the beginner Green Class, acquiring basic handling skills, this fun activity is open to them.
Rally O is highly recommended - it keeps both handler and dog entertained, and challenged.
All NDTC canine education programs are wonderful opportunities for socialisation.
All NDTC canine education programs are wonderful opportunities for socialisation.
Your pet will learn how to behave around other dogs and people, and in a crowd - especially important if you want to confidently take your dog to the local café.
Teaching your dog to sit, stay and return when called helps to keep it safe, and NDTC's experienced volunteer Instructors are at the ready to help with problems such as barking, jumping up and aggressive behaviours.
All classes are aimed to help you, the handler, develop a strong, trustful and lasting bond with your furry companion.
