A good field of 142 players took to the field in fine conditions and some excellent scores were recorded. In A Grade John Breust had a " dream round " of one under par off the stick off his handicap of 10 in posting 47 points which naturally won everything on the day. Coupled with the score of his partner, Derek Moritz,of 38 points, they won the associated Fourball with 53 points. Simon Carr finished second on 42 points and Paul Stokes third on 41 points. In B Grade Russell Naumann finished in the top position with 43 points off his handicap of 19, one better than Rex Dunn. Michael Commins took the third position with 40 points on countback from Ken Radburn and Kiama's Paul McInerney. In C Grade Michael Harris prevailed with 42 points off his handicap of 25 followed by Geoff Broadfoot (yet again !) on 40 points and Ron McDonald ahead of the aforementioned Derek Moritz on 38 points.
The nearest-the-pin winners were Doug Mprey on 3, Tim Sykes on 9, Russell Naumann on 14 and Bill Hannam on 17, while the ball competition went down to all on 35 points.
SATURDAY 8th FEBRUARY
An unexpectedly good field of 86 players braved the weather conditions as well as the uncompromising forecast for the first round of the annual Par Trophy. In A Grade Bob Piper registered the best score of the day with plus 5 off his handicap of 12, well ahead of Mal Gregor who edged out Rod Streater on countback with plus 1 to finish runner-up. In B Grade Glenn McInerney finished on top with plus 1 off his handicap of 16, followed by Peter Wilson on square and Richard Easton on minus 1. Gil Mott easily took out C Grade with plus 3 off his handicap of 31, followed by Don Waterfield on square and Grahame Cooke on minus 3.
The nearest-the-pin winners were Tanya Desmond on 3, Richard Easton on 14 and Michael Turner on both 9 and 17, while the ball competition went down to all on minus 3.
Narooma Ladies
Stableford was played by 21 ladies in the Chris Fader Plate on Monday 3/2. Div 1 Handicap range 0-24 was won by Bec Smart with a great score of 37. Div 2 Handicap range 25-45was won by Lynne McDonald with a score of 31 OCB. Balls went to 29 OCB. A great day was had by all.
Another great day on Wednesday 5/2. 31 ladies played Stableford in two divisions. Div 1 Handicap range 0-24 with a great win by Lisa Beveridge with a score of 43. Runner up was Jennifer Walker also with a great score of 38
Div 2 Handicap range 25-45, winner Ann Durnan with a score of 35 and runner up Pam Shepherd with a score of 34 OCB. Balls went to 32 OCB.
Bermagui Men
Results for Thursday 6th February 2020 - 4 Ball Best Ball Stableford event. Jim Manton and Mick Carr came out on top to win the day with 49 points. Then came Noel Brady and Mike McCann on 48 and Mel Emerton and John Murray with 46 points.
Results for Saturday 8th February 2020 - Stableford. Following a countback on 40 points the A grade winner was Paul Batten (hcp 11) shading Willow Lalao (hcp 13). B grade was taken out by Jarra McKay-Collins (hcp 18) with 40 points. Second in B to Shane Roberts (hcp 20) with 34 points. Mick Smith (hcp 27) had success with a win in C grade scoring 36 points. Runner up was Peter Bradley (hcp 34) on 32 points.

Bermagui Ladies Golf Wednesday 5th February - Stroke & Putting 1st Monthly Medal & 1st GNSW Medal: The Winner of the first medal was Patricia Byrne hcp 23 with a nett 71 (kindly donated by M. Hayes and E. Cripps) and runner/up was Lynn Ponsford hcp 17 with 74 nett. NTP on the 6th was S. Chamberlin and on the 11th and15th M. Hayes.
Handicap winner for the day was Kristine Hood hcp 43 with 74 nett. Well done to all the winners today.

The Golf NSW Club Bushfire Relief Fund has been established to assist clubs get back on their feet following the devastating bushfires throughout NSW and the ACT. Golf NSW aims to raise enough cash to support those clubs in our golfing family who have been hit hardest during this time.
