Garden Club
Narooma Dalmeny-Kianga Garden Club members are advised that due to the current health crisis, our normal meetings in April and May have been cancelled. The Club outing to Cockington Green scheduled for May 8 has also been cancelled. Meetings will resume when it is safe to do so. Hospital Auxiliary
Due to ongoing health concerns with COVID-19 Moruya District Hospital Auxiliary (MDHA) has cancelled the following events: The South East Region Zone Day on April 3, MDHA meeting on April 6, Car Boot Sale on May 16 and the Bay Theatre Players matinee in July. The Autumn raffle was drawn three weeks early and the Charity Cash Bingo played on Sundays at Moruya Bowing Club has ceased. All gatherings are suspended including UHA of NSW Branch meetings and fundraising activities. The Auxiliary apologises for any inconvenience, this situation is ever evolving and we need to support each other in this very serious health crisis.
Writing competition
Literary talents of the Eurobodalla Shire, aged between five and 18, are encouraged to let their imagination run wild and submit to the 2020 Mayor's Writing Competitoin. Budding young writers can write on any theme this year and can win great prizes. Entries could be of any style of creative writing, and judges were looking for imaginative writing and a unique plot. Shortlisted stories will be published in the Mayor's Writing Competition Anthology. Entries close, 5pm on Friday, May 15. Winners announced on Friday, July 31. To enter, visit the council's website.
