With time to reflect upon the efforts of the local fire brigade volunteers, early in March the Bermagui Historical Society donated $1000 to the Bermagui NSW Rural Fire Service.

Every member in the brigade was also given a copy of the historical society's 2020 calendar.

Mr Douch worked in the local forests for over 45 years with State Forest and fought many fires himself in that time, so knew about all the time, effort and hard work that is involved in firefighting operations.
Both Bermagui Historical Society and Bermagui RFS are keen to collect and record fire-related stories and photographs .
