A South Coast fisherman was surprised to see a seal devouring an eel kilometres up the Tuross River recently.

Danny Robinson was chasing bass in his local waters when he came across a seal munching down an eel.
Moruya Tackle World shared his video on social media. Store manager Nick Toozoff said it was out of the ordinary for a seal to be so far up river.
"It is odd that it's all the way up the Tuross River, but they do move around quite a bit," he said.
"There's one under the bridge at Moruya at the moment, they tend to come in chasing bait fish."
It wasn't the first time a seal had been spotted in the system.
In October 2017, a seal was seen thrashing about a large fish near the top of Bumbo Creek, about 12 kilometres from the mouth of the Tuross River. Read story HERE.
