Narooma postal manager Joseph McDougall said more parcels were coming in odd shapes and sizes, "and interestingly, wine deliveries are becoming one of the more popular items".
"With the restrictions, people are relying on shopping from home more and more, so they're buying lots of things they would normally purchase in person," Mr McDougall said.
"We've certainly seen a lot more foot traffic in Narooma Post Office.
"A lot of our stationery and office supplies are now popular too, with more of our community working and learning from home."
He said most customers had been careful with social distancing, however there was the odd customer poking their head around the side of the perspex screen.
Mostly, customers gave positive feedback on the new barriers.
"We've increased signage about social distancing, introduced perspex barriers, and we no longer require a signature for delivery or collection," Mr McDougall said.
"We're thankful they're patient and understanding."
He said customers were pleased to see their familiar faces and other regulars, and appreciated the chance for a quick chat.
Customers were glad the post office remained open.
"It means some normal, everyday activities remain unchanged for them and they can continue to come in to pay their bills or do their banking," Mr McDougall said.
