Saturday, May 23 - Only 113 hardy players faced the wintry and windy conditions and they found good scoring difficult. In A Grade Robert Sayers finally emerged victorious with 38 points off his handicap of 11, with Brendan Warby in second place with 37 points. Paul Lefel edged out David Bennett by countback on 36 points to take the third position. In B Grade Peter James continued his recent good form to take top position with 38 points off his handicap of 17, albeit on countback from Mark Westwood. Ben Smith headed Dennis Frey on countback to take third place with 33 points. In C Grade Alby Donnelly registered the best score of the day with 40 points off his handicap of 23, followed by Alan Chisholm on 37 points and Don Waterfield on 35 points for his second third place of the week. The ball competition went down to 29 points with 16 on the way home.

Thursday, May 21 - A very good field of 150 players faced variable conditions but scoring was not too difficult. In A Grade John Breust finished on top with 39 points off his handicap of 5, followed by four players on 37 points with the spoils going to Rick Porter and Geoff Lanham and Robert Coulson and Andrew Thompson missing out. In B Grade Grahame Cooke returned to top form with 41 points off his handicap of 22, one point better than Ron Manly and Derek Smith on 40 points. In C Grade John Gregs posted the best score of the day with 42 points off his handicap of 30. Mark Bartrop was runner-up with 40 points and Don Waterfield third with 39 points. The ball competition went down to 32 points with 14 on the way home.
Saturday, May 16 - A capacity field of 160 players again enjoyed very pleasant weather. In A Grade Brett Thompson registered the best score of the day with 41 points off his handicap of 10. Brad Parker finished second on 39 points while Paul Lefel edged out Mark Anderson on 37 points to take third place. In B Grade Peter James headed John Willett on countback for the second time this week, this time with 40 points off his handicap of 18. Ken Adams finished third with 38 points. C Grade saw a three-way countback on 37 points where Robyn Giblett prevailed off her handicap of 40 ahead of Robyn Shackleton and Alex Gardner.The ball competition went down to 31 points with 14 on the way home.
Thursday, May 14 - A very good field of 150 players enjoyed promising weather but found excellent scoring difficult. In A Grade Lawrie Holmes came out on top with 39 points off his handicap of 7, while Scott Kennedy and Bill Hannam shared the minor spoils ahead of John Breust on countback with 37 points. B Grade was taken out by Chris Eardley with 39 points off his handicap of 16 with Frank Jakubowski in second place on 37 points. Peter James took third place with 35 points on countback from John Willett. In C Grade Lynne McDonald was a clear winner with 39 points off a handicap of 38 ,four better than Rod Holman and Robert Brown on 35 points. The ball competition went down to 30 points with 16 on the way home.
Saturday, May 9 - A field of 151 players enjoyed the excellent autumnal weather but found scoring well a little difficult. A Grade was taken out by Rod Streater with 38 points off his handicap of 7, one better than Doug Morey on 37 points. In a seven-way countback for third place on 36 points Geoff Lanham enjoyed presidential weighting ahead of Michael Commins, Jayne Hotchkis, Tracey Mitchell, Rick Porter, Mark Anderson and Laurie Holmes. B Grade was decided by a three-way countback on 36 points where Bruce Day , off a handicap of 20, finished ahead of Wayne Houston and Steve Marsden. C Grade was taken out by Rod Holman with the best score of the day, 39 points off his handicap of 24. Jan Boxelle filled second place with 37 points ahead of Tania Burr on countback. The ball competition went down to 31 points with 15 on the way home.
Thursday, May 7 - The good fields continue, this time 143 players, as members show their appreciation of the club's efforts. In A Grade Mark Anderson continued his rich vein of form with his third victory in succession, this time with a one-under-par score of 40 points off his handicap of 3. Geoff Lanham took the second position with 38 points on countback from Robert Sayers. The best scores of the day were registered in B grade where Frank Jakubowski, off a handicap of 19, scored 41 points to edge out Peter O'Kane on countback, with Peter Elliott one point further behind in third place. In C Grade Ian Lowe posted 37 points off his handicap of 26 to head Julie Melville on countback, while Sam Nicholls was favoured by the countback to take third place with 36 points ahead of Greg Ryan. The ball competition went down to 32 points with 18 home.

Tuross Head Women
On Tuesday, May 19, 27 ladies enjoyed beautiful autumn weather playing a stableford competition.
Winners on the day were:
Division 1: Teri Swanbury on 35 points ahead of Marie Murawai on 33
Division 2: Kaye Lunt with 34 points on countback from Annette Manton on 34
Division 3: Elsa Shearer with a brilliant 41. Runner Up Gail Page on 38 points.
Sponsors of the day were Ann and Bruce Ware.
On Tuesday, May 12, 27 Tuross Ladies enjoyed perfect weather for their weekly golfing competition.
Stableford winners were:
Division 1: Leonie Snodgrass with 36 points on a countback from Leonie Doolan on 36 points
Division 2: Annette Manton with 33 points on a countback from Shirley Quinlan on 33 points
Division 3: Judy McCarthy with 33 points - Runner Up Elsa Shearer on 31 points.
May 5 - On a beautiful sunny Tuesday, Wendy Schmid took out the Tuross Ladies Golf Monthly Medal with a net score of 74. Elsa Shearer was a Runner Up with a net of 78.
Other winners were:
Division 1 - Leonie Doolan on countback from a Teri Swanbury, both with 76 net.
Division 2 - Ann Ware with a net score of 78, followed by Annette Manton on 80.
Dorothy Madden won the putting competition with 29 putts.
Tuross Head Men
Tuross Head men's stableford competition on Saturday, May 16, was won by well-known local identity Ian Lawson with a commendable score of 39 points.
David Woolley and Herb Muriwai both finished with the same score of 39 points as the winner, but were relegated to the minor positions on a countback. Nigel Barling with a score of 38 points and Peter Hogan with 37 stableford points were both in the winning circle.
Tuross Head Thursday's medley stableford competition resulted in a win for Allan Langford with a high 41 points. Lynne McDonell scored a handy 37 points to fill second placing. Nigel Barling, Ian Kingston all on 36 points and Jim Wade filled the minor award positions.
Tuross Head Vets
Despite very cool early morning temperatures a good field of 59 players registered for the Tuross Head Vets golf Par event over nine holes on May 13. Winner on the day was Ross Hendy with a magnificent score of +6. Allen Lee edged out Ken Brown on count back to take the runner up position with both players recording scores of +4. Rounding out the major prize winners was Ian Wratten with a score of +3, beating home 3 other equal scores on count back.
Minor prizes went to Bruce Martin, Rob Nash and Lance Shadbolt all on +3, Paul Green, Neal Watson and Kathy Crossling with +2s, and finally Dorothy Madden and Stephen Crossling with +1.
The infamous Bradman award was a closely fought out affair with Solveig Olsson just edging out Ron Hanlon on count back.
May 6 - Fifty seven veteran golfers took advantage of a beautiful autumn morning and registered for the Single Stableford event over nine holes. Winner on the day was Neil Mather with a score of 21 points, winning on count backs from Steve Collins and Ian McManus, both with the same 21 point scores. Rounding out the major prize winners was Ann Ware on 20 points, again with a count back required.
Minor prizes went to Richard Kelly and Greg Smith on 20, Jeanette Miller, Sandra Hanlon, Ray Downey, Rick Brake and Leonie Snodgrass on 19, and finally Kathy Crossling on 18 with yet another count back required.
The infamous Bradman award was taken out by the Vets lowest handicapper, Ken Brown, who clearly struggled with the fast greens presented on the day.
