In A Grade Richard Goodridge returned to the winner's circle after registering 38 points off his handicap of 8, albeit on countback from last week's winner, JohnBreust. Laurie Holmes edged out Allan Maddison and Geoff Lanham on countback to take third place with 37 points.
B Grade was taken out by John Spees with the equal best score of the day of 39 points off his handicap of 22, one better than Peter O'Kane on 38 points. David Alexander took the third position with 37 points ahead of Wayne Rollings and Gary Leahy on countback.
Ross Giblett finished on top in C Grade with 39 points off his handicap of 23, followed by Ron McDonald and Edgar Kastowsky on 37 and 36 points respectively.
The ball competition went down to 31 points with 16 on the way home.
On Saturday a capacity field of 164 players again enjoyed excellent weather until late in the afternoon.
A Grade resulted in a three-way countback on 37 points where Mark Elmasri emerged victorious off his handicap of 3 ahead of Andrew Thompson and Richard Goodridge, the former producing a complete reversal of form and the latter consistent form from the previous round on Thursday.
In B Grade Frank Jakubowski posted by far the best score of the day with 43 points off his handicap of 18.
Paul Mood finished second and Jenny McIntyre third with 39 and 38 points respectively.
In C Grade Frank Clarke finally returned to the winner's circle with 37 points off his handicap of 33 ahead of five players on 34 points, with the spoils going to Rene Faurschou and Jock Munro while Greg Ryan, Sid Dean and Margaret Brown missed out.
The ball competition went down to 31 points with 15 on the way home. RGI
