Narooma Dog Training Club
Woof, Woof!
Hi, I'm Albert and I'm a big dog with a soft heart. My lovely owner Jennifer signed me up for dog school at Nata Oval, in July. The Oval is one of my favourite places to visit as there are so many message smells to enjoy - it really is doggie heaven!
I'm easily distracted by the excitement of meeting friends at dog school each Saturday, but once in class with my very patient Instructor helping my owner, I do my best with the sit, stay and other commands.
Would you like to come to dog school too? Woof! Lucky for you, there is a new class starting in August. Usually your owner has to register on the first Saturday of each month, but in August the Nata Oval will be full of cars taking part in the Annual Forest Rally. So you will need to remind your owner that Registration will be on Saturday 8 August.
My owner phoned the NDTC hotline before I started so I was expected, and she was well prepared with all the necessary paperwork and money.
She even took her own pen to sign me in. Seems that there is some nasty human virus going round that nobody wants to catch. All the owners and volunteers helping run the dog school have to keep their distance from each other. It's pretty tough on the humans, who aren't supposed to hug, kiss or even shake hands, but they are doing a good job.
Some wear gloves and some even wear strange masks on their face, which sadly covers up their smiles. It's tough on us dogs too, as we like to have a good hello sniff of each other ... especially the end bits! Anyway, just thought you'd like to know about this amazing dog school - also known as Narooma Dog Training Club. The classes are every Saturday, unless it is a public holiday weekend or it is pouring with rain.
For some reason the humans don't like the rain! Class starts right on 2pm, so get your owner to arrive in plenty of time to sign in otherwise you will miss the start. If you want to arrive between 1pm-1.30pm your owner can let you have a run off lead before class. That's great fun!
Further information is available from the NDTC hotline 0458 953 281, 9am-5pm weekdays. Tell your owner not to worry if the phone doesn't answer straight away, just leave a message and the call will be returned. Maybe I'll meet you in August.
