This was the second walk held using the new COVID-19 protocols.
Twenty four walkers signed in, so two groups were formed led by Steve Deck and David Maidment and each group made their own way to the separate start points.
The ROUTE comprised 1/3 dirt roads,1/3 bush tracks and 1/3 bush walking.
This is an interesting area, as it was fire affected last summer and we could see the recovery in the vegetation.
It was a sunny day and the creek was flowing gently due to the recent rainfall.
All the walkers were enjoying being out in the sunshine and freshened-up bush due to the rain.
It just goes to show you don't have to be a long way from home or in a very remote location to have a situation that could be serious.

A little way into the creek area of the walk, one of the members slipped and fell, injuring herself.
We were 400 metres from the dirt road and 100 metres or so from an old timber snigging track.
Following our safety protocol, the walk was abandoned and help sought.
First aid care for our member was given whilst we waited for assistance.
Ambulance, VRA and Police took only a little over an hour to get to us in an awkward location and help our member out and onto the Moruya Hospital for a check up and stitches.
The club would publicly like to thank the authorities who attended; they were professional, caring and very prompt.
Thanks also to our members who stepped up and helped.
